Carpet & Flooring

PLFS offer a wide range of flooring services. Our installation team are FITA qualified in the fitting of carpet, wood laminate, non-slip vinyl, wet room vinyl, carpet tiles & commercial flooring.

Prices given are for fitting into a cleared room with floors prepared. Uplift and disposal of old carpet, floor preparation, floor repairs, and furniture removal and replacement services are available upon request.

What type of flooring should I fit?

The answer to this is dependant on the requirement, our experienced teams can advise on the best product to best fit & suit your room. (For example if it is a commercial environment does it have tenants with mobility issues such as wheelchair users or people who use walking frames). Specific products to meet these needs are available. The same principle is applied to student accommodation, key worker accommodation, supported housing, executive suites & offices. 

Do I have a choice of flooring?

Samples can be provided when we measure your property or we can send them out to you by post. Usually we can measure and fit in as little as 48 hours, samples sent by post, this will however affect the lead time to fit.

What does my quotation include?

Our quotation to you includes removal of old flooring, minor floor repairs, fitting of new flooring and door bars as required. If once the old floor is removed it is found that the floor requires more than minor repairs and no one is on site to agree & approve, then pictures are taken and emailed with an amended quotation for us to carry out the extra works, or alternatively for contracted maintenance team to carry out the repairs.

Do I have to empty the property before fitting?

No that is not necessary, our fitting teams will remove the furniture, fit the flooring required and then return any furniture moved during the fitting. All that we ask is that any personal belongings, such as photographs, vases, ornaments, etc are removed and kept safe until the work has been completed.
